And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. (Ephesians 4:11-13 NASB)

The elders at South Side are committed to being faithful to their Biblical purpose. Together, along with the evangelist, David Martin, the elders are equipping the congregation for works of service. They are also assisting in the building up of the body of Christ at South Side. They believe in the New Testament plan and have made it their goal as an eldership to restore that plan to the local assembly. Currently the eldership includes: Virgil O’Banion, Myron Reitsma, and  Steve Sinkes.

David Martin began as the evangelist the first of September 2021.

Clarence Streuer serves as a deacon for the church.
