Organizational Meeting of the South Danville Bible School
Minutes from the April 20, 1923, meeting

April 20, 1923

A special meeting of the members of the South Danville Bible school met in the hall. Meeting called to order at 8 o'clock - led in prayer by Bro. Teeters.

Motion made and seconded that chairman of Sunday School Council to act as chairman of the special meeting. Carried. Bro. Teeters gives talk on organizing a church.

O.J. Thomas gives talk on Church officers.

Motion made and seconded that we consolidate church and Sunday School. Motion carried.

Nomination open for Elders of Church:

Mr. Loyal Jones
Mr. Albert Teeters
Mr. O.J. Thomas
Mr. Cal. Jamison

Motion made and seconded that we vote on nominees collectively - motion carried.

Nomination open of Deacons of Church:

Mr. Levi Roberts
Mr. Frank Bailey
Mr. Otto Wilson
Mr. Dan Jamison
Mr. Frank Day
Mr. Ed. Jones

Motion made and seconded that we vote on nominees collectively - motion carried.

Motion made that we elect the nominees that have been nominated - carried.

Motion made that newly elected board must meet in hall Friday night - carried.

Motion made that present Chairman act of Chairman of the first meeting of the Board Friday night - carried.

Motion made that we adopt the name "South Side Church of Christ" - carried.

Motion made we adj. with a prayer by Bro. Thomas.
